    The Gildan 5000 is the budget-friendly workhorse of t-shirt printing: 5.3 oz preshrunk cotton, a classic roomy fit and double-needle seams that hold up to work days and weekly washes.

    We recommend it when you need a lot of shirts that look good without stretching the budget: league and tournament shirts, school field days, work crews, giveaways and big event runs. It is the shirt most people picture when they think of a classic printed tee.

    Which print method fits

    • Screen printing: the best value for 1–4 color designs on orders of 12 or more; cotton takes ink cleanly and the print lasts.
    • Digital print: full-color art, photos and small runs.
    • Embroidery: works for a small left-chest logo; for big stitched logos step up to a heavier tee or fleece.
    • Heads-up: heather and safety colors are cotton/poly blends, so we print them at lower heat.

    Common questions

    Is the Gildan 5000 100% cotton? Most colors are. Ash is 99/1, Sports Grey and the Antique colors are 90/10, and the heathers and safety colors are 50/50 cotton/poly.

    How does it fit? A classic, roomy unisex fit. If you want a slimmer or softer feel, look at the Softstyle or the PC455 blend tee.

    Does it shrink? It is preshrunk, so shrinkage is small. Wash cold and tumble dry low.

    What sizes are available? Adult S to 5XL, plus youth, women's and toddler versions.
